Isë and Owari provinces are the sites of the jinja enshrining, respectively, the mirror and the sword from the Tennō's sacred treasures (Jingū in Isë, and Atsuta Jingū in Owari). The surviving fragments from the Fudoki include myths about the foundation of those jinja, as well as other legends that fit in with the broader patterns of early Shinto mythology.
